Living Willow Installation
Living Willow Installation
How does it work?
- Shift Bristol brings a group of 30 x students, a course facilitator, and a Living Willow professional weaver to install the living willow structure(s).
- The installation is completed in one day between 9.30-3.30: we would be on site from 8.45am - 4.15pm (this includes set up/pack down time).
- Datel: TBC within our PSC timetable - but between Nv 2025 and Feb 2026
Shift Bristol & Community Partner Exchange:
- Shift Bristol pays the cost of the weaver, provides all tools and labour, and pays for the materials (budget of up to £350).
- See here for the types of living willow structures that can be installed. We can usually install 1 large-ish structure or 2 smaller ones.
- We need to collaborate with community greenspaces who have other jobs/tasks that will also need doing at the same time.
- Jobs/tasks such as weeding, compost creation, fixing/mending etc, simple woodwork. This is due to needing to split the large group of students into half as not everyone can weave at the same time.
- Costs for other materials are not covered in this exchange, and someone from your team will need to work with and guide our students through these jobs/tasks.
- A tour of your work/project would also be great!
Site Criteria:
