This years students have been the guinea pigs for this new course. They all took a leap of faith starting a course that had never run before. They've been really involved in shaping the course, reflecting on its content and structure and pushing it to its limits.

"Its amazing how an extremely wide-ranging course with so many different tutors goes a long way beyond just an introduction to the world of sustainability and permaculture, but at the same time remains dynamic and doesn't go too deep into tiresome, geeky or technical detail. Due to the far-reaching subject matter, year one attracted people from very different backgrounds and with equally differing visions for their futures. Far from being a negative thing, we all find this diversity helps us learn nearly as much from each other as we do from the tutors, who incidentally, are true specialists in each of their respective fields."
