The Practical Sustainability Course
A part time course (16hours per week for 40 weeks)
running from 4th September 2012 to 26th July 2013.
With awareness of Climate Change and Peak Oil increasing day by day the challenges we face can seem overwhelming. This course gives an in depth understanding of where we are, where we’re going and what we can do as individuals and communities to create positive practical solutions.
Get the latest thinking and ideas from some of the UK's leading experts and learn practical skills around food, energy, land use, green building, community, ecology and much more.
The year is packed with information, difficult questions, innovative solutions, bold ideas, collaborative experiences and personal challenges. We explore the sometimes harsh realities and learn the skills and approaches necessary to respond to them.
All modules will include hands on learning at various urban and rural locations. Whenever possible activities will feed into and support existing community projects.
